Well attended - joint seminar "Bathroom design" in the Hospitalhof training centre, Stuttgart

A recent training event held for bathroom planners in Stuttgart was extremely well received: more than 120 professionals came to Hospitalhof to discover "New Dimensions in Bathroom Design" held by Dallmer, Casa dolce casa, Laufen and Vola. To be continued.

There are many further training courses available, including for bathroom planners and architects. These days, professional associations, media houses and companies operate in a fiercely competitive environment. In order to succeed, Dallmer has opted to stand out from the crowd. Under its in-house label "Museum Series", the company organised a series of joint seminars in buildings of architectural interest. Following several well-attended events in the Museum of Applied Arts, Frankfurt, Folkwang Essen, LWL Münster and at Berlin Airport, it was Stuttgart's turn.

The Hospitalhof is the administrative and training centre of the Evangelical Church in Stuttgart. The building lies in the heart of the city on the premises of a former Dominican monastery built in the 15th century and which has also served as a hospital, police station and prison. The new building, completed in 2014 based on plans of architects Lederer Ragnarsdóttir Oei (LRO), was highly praised for its sympathetic urbanistic integration, architecture and its countless design details.

The training seminar covered the topic of contemporary interior design. After an architectural tour, the organisers presented innovative concepts and products for modern bathrooms. Dallmer showcased CeraWall, its modular wall drainage system, which received two Red Dot Awards in 2015. Key features of the system are its purist design, its safety and its outstanding workmanship. Where level-access showers are concerned, CeraWall is quite simply "state of the art", both aesthetically and technically.

This was followed by Casa dolce casa introducing the latest stoneware tiles, e.g. ultra-slim, large-format tiles. Trailblazing the world of sanitary ceramics, Laufen presented innovations in the WC sector and the associated design and emotional dimension. Vola rounded off the seminar with a statement for "The original" and the interaction of tradition and innovation in the sanitaryware sector.

Held in a beautifully and sympathetically renovated inner-city building, these seminars offered an exciting mix of tradition and modern - four manufacturers with a common focus: Innovative product developments open up a whole new world of possibilities for contemporary interior design. Successful bathroom architecture needs quality products that leave nothing to chance.

Further seminars are to be held in autumn in Hamburg and NRW.
